Ever since I visited Scent Bar last summer, I haven’t been able to get one particular fragrance out of mind: the By Killian Imperial Tea fragrance. It’s jasmine green tea in fragrance form! But because of my commitment issues with perfume, I’m not about to shell out $260 for one fragrance…no matter how intoxicating it is. I have my favorites that I always return to (Tocca Stella, Alien by Thierry Mugler, and Elizabeth James Nirvana Bourbon to name a few), but admittedly get bored wearing the same, signature scent year-round. When I recently came across Zara’s ‘Yunnan Tea’ fragrance, I had total fragrance déjà vu. While the perfume is slightly sweeter, it is reminiscent of the much more expensive ‘Imperial Tea.’ There’s a freshness from notes of citrus and orange blossom that makes it a perfect fragrance for summertime, while base notes of maté, Chinese cedar, guaiac wood, and cardamom give it depth. The best part is that it only costs $20 for 3.4 fl. oz. Find ‘Yunnan Tea’ in select Zara stores.
